Meat Cutlet

  1. Beef - 1/2 kg ( cut into medium sized cubes)
  2. Ginger - 1 tablespoon (chopped)
    Meat masala/Garam masala - 1 teaspoon
    Pepper powder - 1/2 teaspoon
    Salt
    Curry leaves
  3. Onion - 1 big ( chopped)
    Ginger - 1/2 tablespoon ( chopped)
    Green chilli - 2-3 (chopped)
  4. Meat Masala/Garam Masala - 2 teaspoon
  5. Curry leaves
  6. Potato - 1 medium (boiled & mashed)
  7. Bread Crumbs - 1 cup
    Egg white - 1 egg
  8. Oil

Cook the cleaned beef with number 2 ingredients. Once it is cooled mince the meat using a food processor/chopper etc. Saute onion till it becomes soft.Add chopped ginger, green chillies and curry leaves.Add minced meat. Mix well. Add meat/garam masala. Saute the minced meat till it becomes dry. Allow the mixture to cool. Once it is cooled add mashed potatoes & mix well. Make small balls with the mixture & roll into desired shapes. Beat the egg white. Dip each cutlet in egg white & roll with bread crumbs. Deep fry in oil. Serve hot with tomato sauce and salad.

The keema can be stored in freezer for almost a month.

Meat Rolls

A different snack to serve at your tea time. Its delicious & filling.Since its similar to puffs, children will love it.
For the filling:

  1. Cooked & minced meat - 2 cups
  2. Chopped onion - 1 cup
    Chopped tomato - 1/2 cup
  3. Pepper powder - 2 teaspoon
  4. Butter - 1-2 tablespoon
  5. All purpose flour (maida) - 2 teaspoon
    Chicken stock - 1/2 cup
  6. Salt

For the roll:

  1. All purpose flour - 250gm
  2. Unsalted butter - 125gm
  3. Salt
  4. Warm water
  5. Egg - 1

Melt butter in a pan & add onion. When onion becomes soft add tomato. When the mix becomes dry, add minced meat,pepper& salt.Mix well. Add all purpose flour & chicken stock. Mix well. When it becomes a paste, remove from gas.

Mix all purpose flour & butter. Make sure that there are no lumps.Add water 7 make it into a soft dough.Roll out each dough & put the filling in the centre. Make the roll into the desired shape.Apply the egg over each rolls before baking. Bake in a preheated oven at 200 degree for 15-25 minutes. Adjust the baking time according to oven type.

    Chilli powder - 1 tablespoon
    Coriander powder - 1 tablespoon
    Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
    Pepper powder - 1 teaspoon
    Garam Masala - 1 teaspoon
    Vinegar - 2 teaspoon
  2. Kappa - 1/2 kg
    Scraped coconut - 1cup
    Chilli powder - 1 teaspoon
    Coriander powder - 1 teaspoon
  3. Small onion - 5-6
    Mustard seeds - 1 teaspoon
    Salt & oil - accordingly
    Curry leaves

Cook tapioca with salt till it becomes soft. Mash tapioca & keep it aside. Marinate the cleaned beef with onion, ginger garlic, masala powders, vinegar & salt. Cook the marinated beef till it becomes tender. Add the mashed tapioca to beef & mix well.Meanwhile fry scraped coconut with chilli powder & coriander powder till it becomes golden brown (keep aside 2 tsp of coconut for garnishing). Grind it. Add ground coconut mix to beef & tapioca & mix well. Heat oil in a pan & splutter mustard seeds. Add small onion & saute for 3-4 minutes. Add beef tapioca mix & stir for 4-5 minutes. Garnish with curry leaves & fried coconut.
