    Hi Reethi

    Happy to know that you liked the curry, thanks a lot for letting me know about it.

    Regarding the colour of the curry, I think its because of the chilli powder I use. My mom in law sends me home made chilli powder, which gives very good color to the curries.

    Please try making it with kashmiri chilli powder, I guess it will give more color to the fish curries.

    Take care

    @Maria,
    Does the coconut paste get sort of fried in the oil? Does the raw taste go?
    Would it be a good idea to add a piece of beet root to give the red colour.

    Hi Lata,

    The coconut has to be cooked for a few minutes for the raw taste to go, but it doesnt have to be fried well.

    I am not sure about adding beetroot to fish curry. beetroot has a sweet taste right? I havent tried it yet.

    Regards

    Maria, i have been foloowing your blog on and off. But i could not stay away from thanking you for this wonderful recipe. I tried this for the first time yesterday and my husband loved it. Being a vegetarian i mostly cook veg dishes and not an expert in Non- veg cooking. But now i can proudly say i can cook fish curry. Also your kerala style chicken curry absolutely love it. It is spot on. It is always difficult to find recipes to follow exactly. Because most of them adjust the flavours according to their choice. And i cant do the same with non-veg dishes. Thank you again so much.
